Château Coupe-Roses is a child of Minervois, land situate in the north-east of Carcassonne and in the South of the “Black mountain” whom it is the Piémont.
Its climate is an harmonious synthesis between Mediterranean sunshine and hardness mountain.
The influence of the altitude is more prevalent in the Causse’s region, where the exploitation is, constitute by small plots which add up to 30 ha, spreading on arid (barren) and stony hillsides staging over 250 and 400 meters of altitude.
The relatively important temperature ranges has got for consequences a slow maturation with an increase of acidity which exacerbates aromas.
The soils rotate strong chalkies plots, which keep the heat, and more deep clayey stratums using as reserves to capture the water of streaming, full of manganese, from a coloration that gives its name to the property.
